At Filming Scotland we are big on the environment and the impact production can have on it. All our shoots are offset to make them carbon neutral through a tree planting scheme based on the size of shoot. We also like to promote responsible use of water and for every shoot we produce a donation to Water Aid is made to reflect the cost and use of bottled water. This donation goes towards the building of water wells in developing nations across the globe. We also have lots of on set initiatives to keep further waste down to a minimum. Our work in this field has led us to be guest speakers for the BFI at international Film festivals and events.

Simon has been pottering around edit suites and cameras since he could crawl and is our in house tech guru. After a 5 year stint ‘working’ as a touring musician in the UK and LA he went freelance working in the camera department for the BBC’s Natural History Unit working on renowned wildlife broadcasting. More recently he has been producing and filming digital content for Starz Network and Sony Studios. With this keen understanding of the on set production process, Simon has turned to post production – From commercials to documentaries, timelapse and stills Simon is dedicated to finishing your projects to the highest standard through transcoding, producing and editing in both off and online capacities.
